I feel the need to share what I have been learning about the orphaned children of Cambodia.

My husband and 16 others left on this past Friday to help construct more Orphan camps for these precious children. I hope and pray that they make a small dent in their day to day lives.

May they travel safe, stay safe and return safe to their loved ones, and yes they will make a difference.

Bless you cat

Thank you so much. Its hard on the team to see the tremendous needs. While there is much new construction the land is drenched in poverty. So much work to be done.

Good luck to them and you.

They are blessed.I just hope and pray they do not get to the point of feeling overwhelmed and hope they come back knowing they did something in the world.

It's always difficult to look squarely at the pain of impoverished youth; but it is the right thing to do.

Cat, I hope your husband and his companions have a safe trip and that they are able to do many wonderful things for those children while they are there.

Thanks for sharing this story.

I wish he could pack up a couple of kids and bring them home! Maybe another time.

May your husband and those with him be blessed and protected. May they accomplish much and bring light to the darkness of the evil in Cambodia.

My memories of Cambodia are filled with pain. To see and hear that children are still victimized 38 years later is very hard.

God Bless him and those who share his goals.

I gather you fought in the war. I am sorry to bring back those memories.

Thanks for the well wishes. My husband has a huge heart. These children's troubles are almost too much to take in.

Yeah, I was there in '70-'71. 38 years ago this month I was in Cambodia.

Do not be sorry to bring back those memories.

They never left. They never will until I'm gone. Nor would I want them to.

We must remember the hell or we continue to put others into it.
