Southwest Airlines Co said on Wednesday that it has taken 41 planes out of service, but declined to comment on the reason.

"Southwest said on Tuesday that it suspended three employees in response to U.S. government allegations that it knowingly allowed planes to fly that had not been properly inspected for potential structural flaws."

I haven't been on a plane since 1999. After this I don't know that I'll ever fly again. Just chicken, I guess. lol

Southwest Airlines takes an extremely conservative approach to safety, and therefore has one of, if not the very best safety record in the industry.

  I wonder what they did wrong then? The old audit maxim: If it isn't written, it didn't happen? I fly SW at least twice a month and these stories make me nervous. Cracks in fuseloges: NO
