Travel – Hawaii tourism officials are looking to China and South Korea to help offset continuing declines in the number of visitors from Japan, the states largest source of foreign tourists.

U.S. dollars... not preferred anymore. There are stores right here in NYC that now accept Euros only as currency.

I heard that Hawaii was going for the Asian market. But it makes sense, since the largest part of their population is made up of Asian immigrants.

Actually, the largest part of the population of Hawaii is made up of descendants (who were born in Hawaii) of Asian immigrants and not actual immigrants to Hawaii from Asia. The part of this story that I find curious is that it came from a Turkish newspaper?
