Just like checking in for a flight, now hotels are rolling out self-service kiosks for guests to check-in. I've always wondered why checking in at the registration desk took something like 15 minutes. In Vegas? This would be awesome. Of course, then you couldn't swing an upgrade to a suite...

    Self-service certainly speeds up check in for flights and hotels but occasionally I like the human element. I would love it if hotel kiosks had an option to TXT me with additional info: directions, concierge picks for local eateries et al.
