    No "Death Sauce" for me!

This submission reminded me of a website I saw recently with their rankings of the hottest of the hot sauces. http://www.chez-williams.com/Hot%20Sauce/hothome.htm A friend of mine actually used to work for one of the companies that is on that list: CaJohn's. I'll tell you what, the worst job in the world may be to work at a hot sauce factory. She was miserable with breathing in vapors, getting sauces on skin, etc... She ended up leaving the job because it was too painful!

I've had a sauce that is probably just as hot. It was made with pepper extract (the same stuff they put in pepper spray) and Habanero peppers. Sauces like that aren't natural and will not only have your mouth on fire, but it left me with 3 stomach ulcers. I love hot food but when it becomes a health hazard like that, it just doesn't make sense, bragging rights or not.

I love the taste and flavor of hot sauces such as Tabasco or Frank's Red Hot. Those are the type of hot sauce most people are familar with...the type of hot sauce you will get at most restaurants. They are made from cayenne peppers and have a distinct flavorable taste.

I have found stores that have only hot sauces as their stock and trade. There seems to be a growing fad of hot sauces and many are joining up to enjoy!

As for these extremely hot sauces....where is the enjoyment in that? What, to say I ate the hottest sauce ever made? Is that some sort of grand accomplishment? Is this the newest form of Macho Measurement?

Sauces, hot to mild are to be enjoyed for the flavor they bring and the flavor/taste they bring out of the foods they are used with. I really do not see the need to make a sauce through an extract. Peppers are varied enough that you can make any type of sauce naturally with any degree of "hotness" any person could ever desire.

This Jersey Death Sauce is made with Capsaicin Oleoresin, as with all of Blair's Sauces. Some people like these, some people do not. Capsaicin oleoresin leaves a very distinct aftertaste, in my opinion overpowers any other flavors that the sauce is supposed to contain.

For all of the others that like the heat to come from the chili pepper itself, I offer a line of 3 sauces to choose from...

          http://www.csigichilisauce.com

Salubrious Savina which is made with Habanero Red Savina chilies, roasted red peppers, roma tomatoes and more! Great flavor with an intense heat level.

Capsaicin Carnivale which is made with the orange habanero chilies, roasted yellow peppers, roma tomatoes and more! A distinct tartness with a peppery afterbite and some great habanero heat!

Big Boss Jalapeno Tomatillo made with green jalapenos, tomatillos and more! A wonderful sweet heat with a bit of tartness from the tomatillos. Try this one with CHEESECAKE!

I would never try any of these sauces. I can't even stand regular hot sauce.

Well personally I love habanero peppers. I love eating jamaican pepper shrimps which are made from the heat of the habanero peppers.

Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer eats the Guatemalen insane asylum peppers.

hahaha! That was a great episode of The Simpsons!

Anyway, the amount of heat someone can take depends on their own makeup...meaning something that is intolerably hot to someone, wont even be warm to another.

Personally, I REALLY like Tobasco's new smoked chipotle sauce..it's very flavorful and not TOO hot.

If you want to try some real good chile get the recipe for tradional Texas Red. The only ingredients are dried chiles, beef and water. You would be surprised at the flavors. As for this Jersey hot sauce it sounds a lot like Dave's Insanity Sauce, very hot with a very definate after taste. I like the heat but the flavor isn't to my likeing. I grow and eat a lot of peppers and I'll have to say that as far as flavor is concerned Serranos are my favorite, especially dried. There was a beer that was made in Cave Creek AZ. that had a Serrano in every bottle. Like Harry Truman Said "if you can't stand the heat, you can't eat here".

I like hot stuff a lot. I don't mean like "Louisiana pepper sauce hot" either. I grow habaneros at home! But since this is really an advertisement that the man is trying to play on us as news I will not be getting this product.

If you need to stop the heat try dairy products, milk or cheese do a good job.
